Scott Walton is an experienced mortgage lender serving Wake Forest, Raleigh and the surrounding North Carolina market. With over 27 years of experience in mortgage lending and real estate, Scott brings a perspective that goes well beyond simply finding a loan program.
Scott began his career in real estate in 1999 and spent years working on
both the real estate and lending sides of the transaction. That background
gives him a unique understanding of what buyers, sellers and real estate agents
experience throughout the homebuying process. Today, he uses that experience to
help protect his clients, anticipate potential issues and structure financing
that fits their individual goals.
Whether working with a first-time homebuyer, move-up buyer, veteran or
experienced real estate investor, Scott believes the mortgage
process should begin with education. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all
solution, he takes the time to explain available options and help borrowers
understand how factors such as down payment, credit, debt-to-income ratio and
long-term financial goals affect their mortgage strategy.
Scott also works with homeowners and investors who want to think
strategically about real estate. He helps clients evaluate whether their goals
focus on cash flow, long-term appreciation or a combination of both, and can
help homeowners understand ways the equity they have built may fit into a
broader real estate investment strategy.
For Scott, communication is just as important as the loan itself. Having
worked as a Realtor, he understands how much buyers and agents depend on the
lender to manage timelines, communicate clearly and keep the transaction moving
toward closing. His goal is to make a complicated process easier to understand
and less stressful for everyone involved.
For the last 8 years Scott has been part of the Wake Forest
and Raleigh community and wants to be more than the lender
someone calls for a single transaction. His goal is to become a long-term
mortgage resource for his clients, their families and their friends, someone
they can turn to when they have questions about buying, refinancing, investing
or planning their next move.
