I just bought my very first home and had no idea what I was doing. I’ve never had a mortgage before, and I was recommended Karol Johnson with New American Funding, specifically, as my mom worked with her in the past. Karol was absolutely amazing. She worked after hours many days, including weekends, both with me and my realtor getting everything together. She responded very quickly to all of my questions even when I texted her at 10pm. She was incredibly understanding of my ignorance through the whole process and was willing to answer any questions I had, as in depth as I wanted, no matter the time or how long it took. She even helped me choose a homeowners insurance when I had no idea where to even start, and gave me so much valuable advice. I absolutely cannot recommend her enough, and I’ve already bragged her up to anyone I’ve told about this entire process. I couldn’t have done any of this without her. On top of that, NAF itself is just incredible, too. Every time a document was made or updated, they send out emails with a link to a site called “talkuments”, which breaks down every one of YOUR documents (not just generic info), explains the numbers, sections, and what everything means along the entire process. It even included videos for many of the sections to make things even clearer; which also meant I only had ~2 questions for Karol each time instead of the probably ~1,000 I would have had, hahah! Whether you’re a first time buyer like me or have done this before, I absolutely recommend them.
