Communication is key in any interaction. Dylan started off our interaction doing well in communicating. Once a certain point was reached, however, he was unreachable. There was no explanation as to his silence. I have yet to receive any sort of communication from him regarding the last voicemail I left him. Obviously, we are beyond the point where any information he might provide is no longer necessary, but it would have been courteous for him to at least attempt to respond. I am, by no means, requiring any sort of response from him at this point.

Was sent documents with no one available to ask questions, created a lot of unnecessary stress and anxiety. Started with being available in the evenings as it worked best for me, then was unable to reach Shan after 430pm. Would leave emails, calls and texts unanswered. Loan processing was pushed to be moved up then was left to the last minute. Constantly concerned we would be unable to purchase the home. Just not a good experience. The external services provided though was wonderful. My real estate agent, referral coordinator, conceriege and matic reps were wonderful.

I never heard from him or anyone from the company but it closed

I did not have much interaction with Mr. Allsopp and when I did have questions he either didn't respond to calls or emails or gave me vague answers days after the fact. I would have appreciated more explanation about what was happening during the entire process.

I want to provide candid feedback regarding this transaction, as it was one of the most challenging I’ve encountered due to the issues on the lending side. Throughout the process, multiple issues arose that placed my clients, the buyers, and the sellers in an extremely difficult position. It became clear that there was a breakdown in communication within the lending team, leading to unnecessary delays—particularly with loan docs. The lack of coordination between escrow and the lender further delayed closing, specifically due to a misunderstanding regarding wet signatures. Additionally, my client was unexpectedly required to bring over $10,000 more to closing, which was not communicated in a timely manner. Given that we had received lender approval to remove contingencies and were assured we were on track to close, my clients proceeded with their move. As a result of these delays, they were forced to stay in a hotel for three days—an avoidable situation that added undue stress and financial burden. This experience has been frustrating and unacceptable. I expect better communication and efficiency in the future to prevent situations like this from happening again.

Aren’t mortgage lenders supposed to want to help you get a mortgage? First, they didn’t call me first which was the expectation set by Zillow. Next when I called, it really didn’t seem that they wanted to talk to me. And finally when discussing my financials for the pre-approval, everything was “nope, you can’t do that.” No other option offered or suggested. I’ve been through the home buying process before, helping my boyfriend get his investment property, and it certainly wasn’t anything like this. Maybe he was having a bad day, or he saw my age and did the same thing our agent did with my boyfriends house hunting experience (she thought we were too young to buy a home and refused to work with us. We were 20 and 22. I guess it’s a hard time to be a young homebuyer in America) or maybe he just doesn’t have good skills when it comes to talking to customers. All I know is I won’t be considering this lender again.

It would have been better if he was upfront about his apparent lack of experience with VA, and if I had been told about charges prior to demand invoices, not 2 days after the fact, and if the information on my part needed had been complete. Also, we had to change closing date 5 times. Once he blamed me, saying I had asked for early closing. Lies. We were in no hurry, with no moving requirements. Then, he went on vacation without mentioning it. He also did paperwork incorrectly and failed to mention the entire loan would be cheaper using my husband's VACert instead of mine. I was told by Shane twice he would send me ways to make my credit better before closing so my rate would be better. Didn't happen. I was told I would get nothing at closing because they would use it to buy down a better interest. Didn't happen.
