Jon Anderson mortage officer does not follow-up promptly. They also said, they don't use Minnesota down payment assistance. I found out they do. This location is awful. I don't recommended. Run away. They lack in communication. They didn't even help me apply or tell me about the program they work with to help raise my credit score so I could qualify for down payment assistance programs.

Not trustworthy at all and completely unprofessional. I spoke with him to confirm that a verified pre-approval was completed on his borrower. He gave me his word, put his 20+ years of experience on the line - only to find out two days later that the pre-approval that he provided, was never verified at all. No documents were verified and the transaction fell through 2 days after he gave his word to me. He told me multiple times that he would NEVER send a pre-approval letter, if he had not verified the information that the borrower provided. I called him afterward - expecting that he would at least own his mistake and all he could tell me was that he did NOT lie. At least acknowledge that he gave me his word and that clearly counts for nothing. I could understand if the financing fell through later on in the deal after various things have occurred but this was totally unprofessional, it was 2 days after the buyers made contact with him so clearly they lied about the information and he did not bother to verify the information like he said he did. I will never do business with this company because of this experience and now the sellers will have a delay in selling the home because all offers and showings were cancelled due to him giving his word. Do not recommend!!

I was introduced to a Caliber home loan by real estate agent J Stacey. We used the Caliber home loan in May 2022 to buy a house in Florida. Joe Lake said that the 5% down payment rate is high interest and the 20% down payment rate is low interest. I told him I would go down 20%, but he told me that he would apply the interest rate for 5% down and then a lower interest rate for the 20% down later. I made a down payment of 20% and he applied an interest rate 0.5% higher than the original rate at the last minute. My friend bought a house in the same area in the same month and got a home loan from another bank. They've got a 5% down payment and they don't have as good credit as us, but they got a better interest rate than us. I can't trust The Caliber home loan.

Greg was disappointing to say the most. The information for our application was given to him numerous times yet still weeks later our application wasn’t even put in, and when it finally was the necessary information wasn’t documented. Greg wants you to do the work and contact him to make sure the ball is rolling. That’s your job, Greg.

Stay Away. Charity is condescending, rude, tells clients that she has to take care of others. My son and I were going though her to get a VA loan. My son is Vet and I am not. She told us it was a difficult process. Even a couple of weeks after submitting our application and other required forms Charity still could not tell us how much we qualified for nor provide us with a VA preapproval letter. She even told me I had to claim higher on my taxes on what she said I would need to qualify. We went to another lender told her my son and I were cobuying. Her first words was Lets run your son first. Boom! She said that my son qualified on his own without my income with 24 hours. Charity didn't think once to run my son first. Even though she said we had to start with him. Charity cost me more in income taxes and we lost a house we wanted to purchase. I have everything in emails and texts to back up this review.

Jon was the worst, by far the most arrogant and inconsiderate person I've ever met. Simply does not communicate and when asked simple questions he replies with very rude statements in which I have record. Purchasing a home is already hard enough, so my advise to anyone wanting to purchase a home would be to use someone else who actually cares and wants to help with the biggest purchase of your life. The company for which he works is awesome and would highly recommend them. They should however consider reviewing their line up.
