there was a very large lack of communication throughout the entire process. I had to call all the time to get any info on where we were at in the process. It feels like some things were drawn out for no reason. such as the appraisal. they wanted to do a desk appraisal because the property didn't come back at the value of the loan however i was putting enough money down to compensate the difference and it didn't matter to them. even though the property has a positive equity in it now due to the amount out down. It was just a long drawn-out process and i am not very happy about it. I also told them i was putting down $150,000.00 down and they told me to bring $136,000.00 to closing

Review by Harry Tart for Mark Cooper

Completed transaction on June 29, 2022

There was a lot of communication problems with emails that were lost or not received and we had to resend many messages and information. It was frustrating to have to send the same information to multiple people to get it to someone. It felt that the underwriter did not communicate well with the area manager. Mark was great to work with during the process. I was glad we caught some tax errors made by my accounting team. But I was not aware that there would be a request for copies of transcripts for the IRS when I started the process. I had related that my transcripts were locked because we were hacked. First Community Credit Union would have done the loan without the transcripts. That said we did find a significant error on the 2020 tax return that we refiled. That made the process worth while. I would recommend Mark to work with people I know. He is a good person to work with.

i think that Melissa did a good job with the loan process .i had issue with the time it took the home office to respond to our initial loan docu sign.they said that they didnt receive my form in time so we had to sign a new loan agreement.it took them to long to tell me they didnt receive my form.if they received my wifes then they didnt receive my form they should have contacted me within a few days.thank you.

Review by Willan Ahlswede for Alexis Bjornstad

While Alexis was amazing, super helpful and great to work with, a number of the people behind the scenes dropped the ball and caused us to have to scramble to figure out how to store a uhaul and get additional nights at a hotel room when the closing date was pushed. Multiple people went on vacation and had to hand off the work which contributed to the closing delay. Before we could finish loading up the uhaul to start driving we were getting requests for documents. That was 4 days before the closing date and before the first underwriter had to pass off the rest of the work to somebody else. When speaking with my boss, he told me that staff members were asking him to explain seemingly obvious things like why I made more money in 2021 than 2020. He also mentioned that multiple people called him requesting the same information, because again somebody else went on vacation. The home closed 1 day after the initial expected closing date but all the last minute requests and people passing off work really destroyed our confidence that things were going to wrap up smoothly causing considerable stress. While the closing date being pushed is understandable, the disorganization around it was frustrating and could have easily been avoided.
