Heather was good to deal with although it felt like she was to busy to provide the level of support and information requested. The support team for the loan closing was terrible. They didn't communicate the process well, kept adding requests for information over and over even after they said they had what they needed and didn't communicate the schedule until the last minute. It was a terrible experience and I will never recommend newamerican to anyone.

Alejandro was fine to work with, he was responsive enough throughout the process but honestly, after he got everything locked over and I got paired with Lianna the loan coordinator my experience I never received my final disclosures and saw the final total for closing costs as the attorney was in my home sitting across from my table during the signing. I reached out prior to my close to get the final docs and was told I would receive them prior to close, never did. Next time I'll go somewhere e

The closing process was unpleasant to say the least. I believe I provided everything that was asked of me and at the end was treated unfairly. For someone to tell you that you can’t use any of the money in your account towards closing is crazy. All my money was accounted for through bank statements and pay checks. Everything LEGIT and for the underwriter to put me in a bind like that. I’ve never heard of it. Luckily I had family member with money and they could help me out in a time of need.

There alot of miscommunication and asking for the same documents over and over. What was expected to occur at the closing didn't.

Your portal is not user friendly. I would have preferred using ONLY the portal to submit documents. After some time, I started to receive EMAILS with requests for additional information, and to reply back using the email. I was extremely leery of submitting personal and private documents via EMAIL. I did not appreciate being “handed off” to multiple people. The person I originally contacted didn’t even take the time to explain WHY I was being “handed off” to another. Again, rude!
