I am a long time customer of new American funding, and when they contacted me to do a refinance I just went along with everything because I have always trusted them. This time I feel like they did not have my best interest at heart. Then sold out to wells Fargo almost immediately. I am not a fan of wells Fargo.

Lack of communication once the loan was about to fund. My wife had some pertinent questions that were never fully answered at the time(unanswered emails and phone messages) they were posed. Only recently did we get an email back in reference to the question which basically said we had to handle it on our own. So $5000 spent so we can handle something on our own. I know our loan was not making you guys a large amount of money but you called us… remember? Not a fan and would not recommend.

9 months ago I was approached by New American finance asking me if I wanted to refinance my existing loan with them. I agreed to it, having been promised that because it was an "in-house" deal, things would go smoothly and swiftly, including no appraisal would be required. Well, it was an excruciating 8 months later that my loan finally closed. I had no idea it would be such a long, tedious intrusive process, or I would never have agreed. Unprofessional, painful experience!

first, they try and talk you into taking a bunch of extra money, then appraise your house at a ridiculously low amount and try and gouge you with higher interest rates. at closing, person showed up with all the wrong documents and said i needed to pay $300 (call to joseph was never returned). took 5 days to sort it out and then suddenly i was getting more money back. worked with 3 different people and had to submit the same documents to each person because departments cannot communicate?!

Jesse was great until the very end when we didn’t close on time and everything was pawned off on the worst processor I’ve ever encountered. The processor Dez was rude to say the very least. She blamed my client foe her incompetence which I have in text messages and emails and when we would call Jesse to see why we were delayed closing by 3 days he would only say that’s not my thing it’s the processors. No follow up for the client nothing! I will not be referring New American To another client.

Communication as a whole was subpar. Overlooking important numbers and not giving correct closing info was frustrating. Will not recommend the company.
