Grace is a great professional and she went above and beyond for us. Our case was solid credit and income-wise. Unfortunately, her team at New American Funding was mediocre & a real challenge to work with. They sent us a denial letter on closing week after sending us a loan commitment one! This put us in a horrendous position, as we were about to lose our deposit $. Grace was the only one in NAF who stepped up and fought for our case until closing. The loan process these days is way to complex, and way to much time consuming on our part. Request for the same documents sent maybe three to four times. Rafe was great to work with, and is a very nice and honorable person. The underwriters I now are the ones that are difficult. So a give Rafe high marks and the underwriter bad marks. Hoping this is the last mortgage of my life! Happy days. Thanks Rafe.

Everything went okay, no major issues. Biggest issue was the number of different people that contacted us via email or phone asking for information. Understand it’s a team of people working but we didn’t feel totally protected in that we didn’t know who was calling or emailing. Would love a more streamline system of contact so we know we’re talking to the right people.

Chris was good and helpful at what he did. But it seemed like things didn’t move along very quickly even though I thought we gave him everything he asked for in a timely manner. They had to extend our interest rate lock date and our closing date even though we thought we had everything back in plenty of time. They charged us $200 more to do that. I don’t know if it was Chris, your company, the title company or who didn’t move very quickly. For the most part, though, Chris was good and helpful.
