I felt in the dark information wise the whole time. Many questions or texts went unanswered or very late responses. The home after a week still has no gas hooked up even after I requested it the day of move in. Only 4k down from original offer? The home is in very poor condition and I am very astonished it passed VA inspection. I am not sure the air is breathable in the home I already got sick after staying in there for a weekend. So the communication needs to improve. Fight a little harder for your buyer, make sure appliances, furnace, water heater, actually work and that the home is healthy to live in. I feel I got a bad deal.

Stop running clients credits anyhow. Surprising figures at closing. What was the point of making me pay up credit card debt last to the Tittle company last day to closing. It's been days yet they have not credited my bank, my payment is now late.

Honestly, the rates they offered appeared to be attractive however there was a lot of poor communication. I would get a call back after multiple calls and mostly even after calls things would be communicated over email. In addition to this alot of the details that first attracted me changed drastically overtime such as having an actual appraisal which most lenders had waived. The PMI being charged was outlandish as well. Explore at your own risk and at the risk of wasting your time.

Never returned calls or emails. It was a horrible experience that cost my seller time and money. Hire better employees, and maybe next time, a pre-approval letter with your letterhead may mean something besides just a worthless piece of paper.

This review is on behalf of my parents.Angela Thurston Poindexter was the worst person that they've ever had to deal with. She lacked communication to the point of my parents not being able to get a hold of her. My parents were buying a house here from out of state, they needed to know what was going on with the loan. Angela texted most of the time and it was usually one word answers. She always seemed to be somewhere other than the office when she did actually answer her phone. Plus, she wanted to constantly talk about personal stuff. She also lost or misplaced important paperwork and had to request my parents to send it again, like a copy of their drivers licenses, something they gave the first time meeting with her. With her being so slow and non-communicative, it was making my parents question why they're even trying to get a loan from this company. She also somehow got them a homeowners insurance policy from a company that my parents didn't even want. They didn't even know that she did that for them.It didn't start becoming smooth until they finally had contact with the loan processor. The loan processor was the one to catch the homeowners insurance policy from a company my parents never agreed to or even knew about and switched to the one my parents had gotten themselves.Angela didn't end up finally contacting them until the day before they closed on the house, she hadn't talked to them for about a week and a half before that. Luckily the loan processor was very communicative and helped the process along easily for them. They never want to deal with Fairway again after this mess. Plus, their agent never wants to cross paths with Angela again, she even gave him a big headache.

Though I can imagine various ways that this could have been more unpleasant, each way involves natural disasters destroying my house; perhaps an asteroid large enough to destroy my house but leave my neighbours' houses untouched? In any case - a person whose job it is to help applicants through the process that forgets, repeatedly, the same common task every single time that the task needs to be done should probably not be helping your applicants.

Beware of a low rate. A low rate is only good if they can close your loan. I honestly never leave bad reviews, but Cardinal Financial and its affiliate Sebonic Financial are absolutely the worst in every way possible. I only wish I would have researched this company more vigorously before being enticed by a low rate on a 15-year mortgage cash-out refinance. Every negative review I have read online about this company is true to my experience with them. In my opinion, they are as close as you can get to completely incompetent. I started my refinance with them back on February 10, 2020 after finding them on Bankrate.com. I supplied all the requested documentation roughly with-in 48 hours. I paid $450 for an appraisal and waited. They jammed my file up in underwriting for over a month. It was a constant chasing them down with calls and texts just trying to get them to respond. And when I finally got in touch with them…they asked for more documentation. I would provide… then silence…I would call…more documentation requested…repeat. Sometimes they even asked for the same thing again after I had provided it to them already. My original closing date passed without contact from Cardinal and as of 4/14/2020 they still would not provide me a clear to close. That’s when I finally told them to go kick rocks and had to pivot to a more reputable lender. What makes it worse, the money from my refinance was going to be used to offset the expenses my wife and I are incurring in our adoption of our son in May 1, 2020. I was clear about the timeline and was assured there would be no problems. Well, that turned out to be a lie. Two months should have been plenty of time to get a refinance complete, even in these challenging times, especially knowing the time crunch I was facing. The communication on this transaction was the worst I have ever experienced… and real estate is my profession. I put a lot of faith in this company and they let me down. If you are self-employed and have more than one source of income, I encourage you to go elsewhere. They have no idea what they are doing when it comes to borrowers like me. It will only leave you frustrated. I spent a lot of time over two months answering questions from an underwriter who had no understanding of LLC's, partnerships, or real estate. The loan originator, John Ruskin (Sebonic) was unable to help and the transaction coordinator with Cardinal was just about as lost as everybody else I spoke to. If you are thinking about using these folk…DON’T DO IT! Gary Loan No. 1400514317
