Better communication, reasonable expectations. When asking for additional documentation ask for everything. Don’t wait until scheduled day of closing to ask for more info. If closing is going to be delayed, communicate that information with client ahead of time.

Better communication throughout the process and a cohesive appraisal would have made a huge difference. Instead of telling me upfront all the repairs that were required, I was told one, and then at the last minute, more. It was very frustrating. Not to mention that I would give the appraiser/appraisal company they used an even worse review. I had to go out and do part of the appraisers job myself in order to finish everything.

From the beginning of the process, it was a unpleasant experience. Towards the end we were promised documents only to be told once again there will be a delay. Closing was changed multiple times. I do understand my client was a first time home buyer and that makes things difficult in itself. However the experience could have been better for both myself, the buyer and the closing agent. I feel there was a total lack of communication within the lender and his cohorts.

Poor communication! Everything turned out differently than I was told. Also I asked for no impound account and was told that I wouldn’t have it but in the end it was there. Many things didn’t occur as I was told. Scott was more interested in getting a sale than providing me with what I wanted or was told.

Anthony was very helpful and knowledgeable throughout most of the process but closing was a DISASTER. There was a huge lack of communication between New American Funding and the companies they subcontracted which caused a lot of frustration and poor business. I was even asked to provide closing costs a second time because they didn't keep track of the cashier's check I provided them.
