James was much more disconnected from the process this time and Jonathan was not able to effectively meet our needs without repeatedly explaining our requirements and redoing paperwork. We expected a much more efficient process as we had experienced with James several times before.

Started out great for sure, then finished lackluster with multiple follow ups, long waits for updates, etc.

James was very attentive in the beginning of the loan process. Once we were moving forward with a home I was transferred to a number of other reps without intro. The first loan document sent out was listed incorrectly at a higher home cost which made myself and real estate agent uncomfortable. I was told to just sign but then after the agent reached out I was told it would be updated, it wasn't. Then my name was continuously spelled wrong via email, which did not make me feel taken care of.

Better communication. James seems knowlegeable and generally courteous. He didn't respond within the time he said he would on a couple of occasions, which was annoying. Also, the escrow company really messed things up. They sent my closing papers and check to my tenant at the refinanced property - who opened it and saw all the confidential info. She had to mail me the check and closing statement, which took a couple of weeks longer. That was a big mistake.

Your underwriters need to be up front and have the list of items they will need. This just 1 more piece of information stinks. Professionals know what they need and ask for it in advance not dragging it out for weeks. Sometimes you have to use common sense yes a company has merged and the pay stubs will look different. Be human and not a monkey.

Once the process got taken over by underwriting, Mr. cook became a ghost. His follow up was scarce. He should have been the face of the entire process. Allowing the underwriters to communicate directly with me was frustrating and some of the hoops I had to jump through we simply ridiculous. My experience is always bad though, so don’t feel bad. I get put through the ringer for being self employed. It’s not fair

There were highlights in the experience, but there was a communications gap between Courtney and my husband. We appreciated them working with us at first, but after the gap it was never the same. As the breadwinner, I felt cheap from questions about my employment history. We'd lost our jobs to COVID, I refused unemployment, found a job, but was made to feel substandard when asked my longevity in my career. After sharing 40 yrs., wanted a month of check stubs before closing. Longest closing ever.
