I have been a realtor for over 27 years. This transaction reminded me of working with shady mortgage companies, that my client selected. I was skeptical about my client using your company from the beginning. She said her past experiences were really good. The stress that she endured and additional expenses incurred due to the last minute and repetitive requirements levied between two underwriters who were not communicating was too much. Your agent gave my client, myself, and the seller false expectations. Either he was given incorrect information from the underwriter or things were not done on the front end of the loan which could have minimized the chaos and delays. My client is very lucky this was a relocation property and empty. This could have been much worse if people were actively in the house or a move was taking place by the seller.

We should of used our own bank and would of felt like a valued customer instead of being treated poorly and made to fill out extra paperwork and open new account for a trust that has been in place without a problem for 12 years. Our Financial advisor were floored but what was requested

better communication from the lender as well as faster processing. This felt like no one knew how their jobs were supposed to be done and it made it hard to get things completed in a timely manner

We were grateful that the loan closed timely and the communication with Brad's assistant, Pam, was great at the beginning. I never once spoke to Brad. I had to log into the portal to find out what my interest rate, points, etc. were. It is my understanding that Brad's assistant was going through some personal issues during our closing so I can understand the lack of communication in the end. As I stated before, the loan did close on time and the job was done, however, if you like any sort of communication or advice, I would probably go elsewhere. If you just need a timely closure with zero advice or communication, Brad would likey do a great job.

We kept getting asked for information that we had already provided. I think having 3 separate places to send info may have been the culprit. There was an online portal, plus an assistant to Molly who we emailed info to as well as the loan processor. I think it would've been easier to have just one place to send info. Also, our property management rep told us he had to keep resending things he had already sent, plus he would never get a response back letting him know that it was recieved. That bothered me that you took up so much of his time with that. I also did not like the fact that underwriters were digging into every single aspect of our lives including our other rental house and our S Corp business which had nothing to do with this transaction. We had already proved that we could pay the loan back, but kept having to keep proving ourselves. We also did not have the autonomy to choose our own homeowners policy terms and that was dictated by the lender behind our backs which resulted in a much higher premium than we were prepared for. That was a real turn off and was very unpleasant. When I was asked to provide bank statements one week before closing, that was the final straw for me and I refused. Bottom line is that we will not be using this lender ever again and we will recommend that others do not as well.

It seemed like communication within New American Funding was not great. Often there were miscommunications between Alyssa, underwriters, and funding during this process. It seems like Alyssa was doing the best she could with the information she had, but we would often have to go back and forth on the same topic, like clearing conditions.

Have some urgency And not lax when it comes to peoples livelihoods. Not the best experience at all. Have purchased a home before & they act as if you’re supposed to hound them for simple things to to get done in a timely manner. Dishonest LO, no real sense of urgency. Things got done within a later time frame but it took a lot of leg work
