I was frustrated at the lack of a direct responses since he spoke in circles and seemed unsure. I was told I couldn't be joint (married) since I didn't work. If I hadn't pushed, he wouldn't have checked and come back wrong. Our appraisal was scheduled nearly 3 weeks out causing us to require an extension for closing, despite being reassured it would not. We signed docs on a Thursday and it wasn't funded until Monday after we called, waiting outside the locked house with pets and kids in tow.

Phone conversations instead of texts and/or emails phone call is quicker and can get more done faster. can also give heads up that an email is coming for signatures. if time is important this was not done well or planed out well.

The level of communication with the applicant seriously needs to be improved. Applicants should receive a list of the documents needed to complete their loan at the beginning, additional documents were requested all the way up to closing. Also, I feel it's better to communicate with one person as oppose to several. This comment is for my overall experience and not just one person.

Lack of communication in regards to what the underwriters were doing and the constant requests for additional paperwork, some of which had been previously submitted.

I typically, work with local lenders, and I've never been unable to close on time. Although it seemed that Jim was doing everything possible to pull it together, it just seemed that there were multiple reasons this didn't close on time. We heard that the lender was waiting for the appraisal, but I just happen to know then lender, and he told me that he had turned it in 2 days before the closing, yet we were being told that the appraiser was the hold-up. Frustrating to buyer & seller.

Communication between parties could have been drastically better. Alot of the the hold ups throughout this process could have been prevented with proper communication.
