Damian was great for the first half of the loan process. But when it came time to actually doing things to move the loan along, all communication broke down. He sat on our appraisal for a week after receiving, almost costing us our house entirely and costing us another $2,000 in order to keep it. He seemed very nonchalant about this and decided that the best way to handle this, rather than try and help and make it right, or simply apologize, was to avoid us and ignore us.

My interest rate was locked in without my knowledge. The communication between beau and Echo was non-existent. They would both request the same forms multiple times and we received conflicting answers. On the day of closing they were requesting a signed termite form, which we sent weeks prior, and they needed a form to show that our old house was paid off. This had nothing to do with us and we were worried that the paper work we signed that morning, would be invalid if we didn't get them form.

The entire process took much too long. Granted it was a busy time in the mortgage business, but that is no excuse for poor communications with an existing applicant with impeccable qualifications over a two month period. It took emails to the CEO and head of customer service to close this loan. Which happened in less than a week.

Waiting til 2 days before closing to communicate that buyer is lacking documentation.....call should have come sooner in my opinion. That would be the reason for low scores. Jody did work through it and got it done.

A simple re-fi took 4 months to complete. There were errors in the closing documents that caused us to have to close twice. NAF notified our insurance company of their involvement two months prior to close causing confusion and our insurance premium payment delayed up to the date of cancellation. Ryan did the best he could but his company failed him.

In comparison to other loan officers Mark was ok. Very knowledgable as well as responsive however, I always had to point out errors for correction.

I have never worked with a lender that changed the CD numbers the day of closing AFTER the buyers had already signed the docs at title. Improve communication and review your numbers way before you send them to Title.
