I applied for preapproval more than a month prior to having a home under contract, but was never given approval in the entire time leading up to the contract. I understand business is busy right now, but I was proactive and through out that entire time did everything in my power to receive that approval. I felt like my business was less important than other customers, that's not OK, especially when I'm being proactive and potentially helping advance the loan.

Following the upload of the documents that were requested to complete our application, we were continually contacted to send (via email) the same documents. The overall feeling was that we were doing double the work to complete the same task because someone else wasn’t ok the same page as the rest of the team.

This was the 7th home that we have purchased together and had never experienced such a lack in communications. Throughout the whole process I had to reach out for updates. I know there were other contributing factors to the delays, but I'm referring to the main mortgage process.

I had a few incidents where I was told one thing and then a few days later or weeks later was told something completely different. Because you people were not “aware” of policies. It got to the point where I almost canceled my application because it was so frustrating. There needs to be better training and updating on policies and procedures so the clients are given correct information from your agents .

Communication is a big key for me. You should not have your client jumping through hoops to fix things that cannot be fixed. I should have been told that my moan was not approved versus me having to payoff things that did not belong to me at closing. For example, someone else credit card that I wasn’t made aware was problem and directly affected me. Learned about things at closing that should have been stated in advance. Communication was the worst.

Being timely with the whole process was not achieved. The whole process was disjointed and very slow. I had all the documents same day as requested. I obtained the payoffs. And even then the loan was over two weeks late closing. The support staff didn’t send out all requests to my employer and they had to send what was missing a week later. Why?? I expect a well oiled process and requests for necessary documents should be made timely; not weeks into the process.
