I believe that John Hill & Jourdan probably did the best they could under the burden of being at the mercy of the underwriters requests. However, these requests felt more like demands and quite frankly, put us on the defensive. As we had reminded John Hill, we were shocked that we we, as a customer with a solid existing mortgage loan history, would be treated so coldly. We’ve been reminded that government regulations must be followed through the underwriting process… However, the process of forwarding repetitive documentation became tedious. I understand business is business, but truly, I felt as though our integrity was being questioned.

In the end the title company, separate issue, made a mistake costing us to close a day late where they had 3 weeks to correct it.

We have had difficulty with the docusign process. Granted, it definitely was user error initially, but it stemmed from errors over a year old when we bought our house and not errors with our refi now. There was never an easy fix.

i feel like sometimes we would say something or ask a question with several other points in the emails , and sometimes it seems like they were not read thoroughly so some points were not address , it seemed like the emails were read too fast so things we asked were missed. Also from the processor it seems like things were asked for , but then the minimum requires for those documents were not addressed so we didn’t know what we sent would t suffice

There were times during the process where I felt communication could’ve been better. I’m happy with my refinance just not the process we had. Admittedly I wasn’t that quick at getting things rolling but, weeks in between hearing about the “next step” is kind of irritating. Overall I’m happy with my refinance though.

Communication could’ve been better via email and phone. We asked multiple questions either by phone or email and didn’t receive return phone calls and in emails, not all questions would be answered. Also suggest an out of office automatic reply as we had emails go unanswered and found out it was because of vacation but didn’t know because we didn’t receive an out of office with a back up to go to instead (one was finally received days later).
