Fred needs to think through his emails before responding so quickly. Slow down and think through responses to customers before responding, in an effort to provide more accurate and complete information.

At the beginning of the process I let him know I had only saved about $2100. Although, in the end, he made it happen, I don't think he took into account how much I would have for a downpayment. Especially towards the end, when the downpayment kept changing, I think there could have been better communication about what was expected.

Bjorn was great and explained things. But dealing with ryan was less than great. It got to a point where I thought about going else where. It was you qualify then next you dont. Never explained anything. Was told I qualify then next said I don't and I need these items but didn't explain what was going on or why didn't qualify. I never felt like a person to him felt like a number. Yes he helped process it but when I work a full time job and he works until only 3ish it's hard when he would call during the day and when I filled out info I said I would be available in afternoon because I do work it made it ever hard. When I got him documents he said it works but then the next day or next week tells me it's not going to work. It made it hard when I have kids and sports and trying to deal with buying house and everything. It would also be nice to have a list ahead of time saying we will need xyz before closing from the items you listed and not waiting until last min to say that you need documents kind of last min. Ryan could be better with explaing things and on a more personal self level and not just rambling numbers and making sure it is understood. And maybe try another way of saying things because when you say your qualified and everything is good for a house that you are about to loose your current living situation and need a new one like now. It's hard and really put a stro f feelings on my mental health being thrown like that.

Overall, it was a great experience because we successfully completed the transaction, and the team supported us throughout each step of the process. I appreciated the effort to keep things moving, especially given the complexity of the SmartBuy program and the documentation it required. That said, there were a few points where I felt limited in my ability to make fully informed decisions—such as selecting the title company, exploring potential interest rate adjustments, and reviewing escrow account options. A bit more transparency and guidance in those areas would have made the experience even better.
