I followed Franco to Movement. I have done numerous loans with him. Everything went well and customer service at Movement was great until six days before closing. The loan disclosure I received at the “clear to close” point had an error in the title fees. I had reviewed all of the loan disclosures up to this point, including this one, but did not know this was a mistake. The title fees were entered as a negative amount which was a $3,900.00 error. The Movement team tried to correct it by lowering the loan fees and reducing the interest rate by a very small amount instead of simply telling me what happened and what they were doing to try and remedy the situation, which I do appreciate. When I brought it up to the team, not Franco, the reaction I received was unapologetic and unprofessional- as if I had made the mistake. Franco was unaware of the error in the documents and tried to intervene onceI brought it to his attention. The final disclosure changed a couple of times in the few days leading up to closing. I have done this many times and this time was handled very poorly. I understand mistakes happen, but not communicating with me up front about it was insincere and seemed like an attempt to cover the mistake. I was extremely irritated about it and contemplated canceling the whole deal. While not intentional, it felt dishonest and quite frankly, a terrible thing to do.
