I thought the process overall took quite a bit longer than I expected. There were also some paperwork issues that resulted in a bit of rework. Bjorn and his team are very professional and responsive so we were able to get through any issues that popped up.

Overall communication could have been stronger in both content and frequency. There were several financial terms not familiar to me that I had to contact NAF about. Some sort of pamphlet would've been useful. Also, I was not comfortable with the level of information given about the timeline. What's due when and information needed. I was impressed with the positive attitude of every NAF person I dealt with. Everyone was eager to serve.

Yolanda gave outstanding service. Her communication and professionalism is outstanding. However, New American Finding was in general very poor. When the responsibility went from Yolanda to the next level, communication stopped. The last week before the closing they scheduled was horrible. I was never told the exact amount I needed to close or that I needed a certified check. Then they threatened to cancel my loan if I couldn’t produce a certified check by a deadline. In the beginning Janel and Vicky were absolutely amazing, I loved how personable they are and fun. However towards the end there were some serious issues with the underwriter that should have been dealt with a lot sooner. There was a sense of urgency in my loan and I had made that very apparent however it was not handled as such . I would recommend this company as long as that underwriter no longer works there.
