After Loc when it went to the underwriter and to Diane then I felt the real help. Loc helped get us to that point but he may not be aware of it but he didn’t make me feel comfortable asking him any questions. Of course I asked them anyway and of course he answered them but he should say “if you have any questions ask me” and then be like “you just have to wait, no news is good news.” Although it may be true, And although he put in a lot of work that I’m grateful for, I felt some kind of way about his attitude. All in all I will refer the company for sure because of Diane.

To have had the correct information conveyed at the start of our loan process. Had it been advised in December that we would have had to wait 12 months to do a cash out refinance we would have done the FHA streamline then.... instead of ordering an appraisal we didn't need and going through the whole process of trying to find forbearance/partial claim documents that were an absolute pain to acquire all the way through February. In the end Matt did help get things done. Was a great communicator as far as responding in a timely manner and was able to try to make things right getting us a refund for the appraisal.

Jeff was on it from the start. Very professional and helpful. Enough to earn my business. However, this process involves more than just him. There were bumps that dragged the process out longer than anticipated. I like when a business has a plan from the start, we stick to that plan without any deterrence.

I think Andrew was great and he gave the process a good start. Later in the process I was asked to submit so many documents. The request was repetitive and unreasonable. I thought the requests will never end. The closing date was postponed twice which was very disappointing given that I had to take those days off work . While Andrew was a good communicator I felt New American funding was making the process unreasonably hard. While I like Andrew and appreciate his help it was a bad experience the repeated request for more document made me feel untrusted, the delay in closing made me think New American fund is incompetent. I think in the future I will use another mortgage company.

Actually, the length of time it took to get from loan intake to closing was too long. I want to make clear that this was not Lilian’s fault as Covid delays and title issues in Taos County, NM presented obstacles and slowed down the process.
