I’m Don Luong, a mortgage loan officer with New American Funding’s San Jose office, helping homebuyers, homeowners and real estate investors throughout Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area.

I’ve been in mortgage lending for nearly 20 years and I’m also a real estate investor myself. I work with everyone from first-time homebuyers to experienced investors, including jumbo financing, self-employed borrowers, tech professionals with RSUs or bonus income, investment properties, DSCR loans and more complex financing situations.

My approach is simple: understand what you’re trying to accomplish, explain your options clearly and help you find a financing strategy that makes sense for you. I believe borrowers should understand the numbers and the trade-offs—not just be told which loan to choose.
