About Steve Ellingson

I have been a commercial & residential real estate loan originator in the Pacific Northwest since 2002 and currently licensed for Washington State. I earned my BA degree in 1998 from Washington State University in Sociology, 2nd major in Criminal Justice, with minors in Political Science & Philosophy. I was a keynote speaker at Housing Washington 2007 while working at the Washington Home ownership Center as their HOPE Counselor Program manager. I spent 2007 & 2008 traveling around Washington teaching continuing education for Realtors and mortgage professionals while educating home buyers about home ownership as well as providing foreclosure prevention services. I was also instrumental in building the official curriculum used in the Washington State Housing Finance Commission's Home buyer Education / House key training. I enjoy time with my two children & friends, hiking in the Olympics, hunting, traveling, and day trips on his motorcycle .

Source: This dataset combines data from Public Records and MLS transactions. The data lists the number of all-cash purchases and the total number of home purchases nationwide in 2023. (Cash purchase defined when a Property Sold record does not have a Mortgage Balance.) Data coverage is limited by available MLS coverage. Certain geographies like Georgia (especially Central GA) and Vermont were impacted by this data availability. Land sales and manufactured (MFR) home sales are excluded from the dataset.
