Kris was always great to talk with and very responsive to questions. The issue that came up was during the day of closing. There were a lot of issues and closing too almost an entire day. Some of these were not in our control but one big issue was that amounts did not match up. I had always indicated that I wanted all proceeds from sale to be applied to purchase and all amounts calculated around that. This means that I do not bring any additional money to closing. This was not done properly and was almost $12,000 short at closing. I had to work with my bank to get this amount sent ASAP. I confirm multiple times that the amounts would match up and no additional funds needed so was a big shock and problem when the amounts did not match up.

The numbers in our disclosures were not always correct, we had to double check everything and remind them what was discussed prior about credits etc. We also were not happy with the process of our appraisal and the appeal process for getting it double checked.

You could have informed us that there was a 3 day waiting period to receive our funds, and you could have told us early on that we would both have to be present at closing. These two surprises cost us about $560 in extra property taxes.

The lack of communication I received once the appraisal issue came up with was frustrating. It seemed like I only received updates if I reached out to them first. The customer should not be leading the way in the communication front.

Overall, really good experience. The reason I did not give "perfect" marks was because I received my closing documents late on the night prior to closing. Some items had changed and no explanation was provided until only an hour or two before the closing. I know there is always a "fire drill" of some sort before a closing, but this could have been avoided if closing docs were sent our sooner.
