Video transcript
My name is Shane Prince. I’m a senior loan officer at New American Funding. I joined New American Funding because I was looking for a place to start. Before I started here, I was a fulltime college student, had no idea what I was going to do. When ended up learning about mortgages, I realized it was going to be the career for the rest of my life. I started here about four years ago, almost to this day. Was a loan officer for about two years now. And for the past two years I’ve been presidents, council both years.
The type of person it takes to make it a New American Funding is a hardworking, honest individual that loves what they do. There’s nothing better than loving what you do, helping people achieve the American Dream and ensuring your financial benefit at the same time. When it comes to loans, there's always going to be hard times, especially in the CSR program. It’s not supposed to be easy. You’re here to transform yourself into the best loan officer possible.
Every step of the way. I was told when to make my calls, how to speak on the phone, how to ensure that I got all my work done prior to leaving for the day. I met management, I met the people that were there making a difference in this industry few names. Christopher Thompson. Ray Williams. Drew Haberl. And it truly inspired me to get to know the industry, to get to know what mortgages are and to understand that we are helping people achieve the American Dream every day. A lot of stress, a lot of issues along the way, but none of that, it would have been worth it without that. That’s what it takes, and that's what it took to get to where I'm at.
And New American Funding has not only helped me financially, but it's also grown me emotionally as well as matured and learned how to really take on the world in multiple ways. I found a career. I found a place where I can call my home and I can ensure that I'm happy, if possible.
